Larissa brings a strong commitment to data quality and environmental stewardship to her role as a Water Monitoring Technician. Growing up in Invermere, British Columbia, she developed a deep connection to the surrounding mountains, which sparked her passion for environmental conservation. This led her to study Geography at the University of Victoria, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts.
After moving to Nelson, B.C., Larissa pursued an Advanced Diploma in GIS at Selkirk College, further enhancing her ability to analyze and interpret environmental data. Her career has been driven by a passion for utilizing data to support environmental monitoring, restoration projects, and overall ecosystem health.
At Living Lakes Canada, Larissa combines her expertise in data collection and environmental stewardship to contribute to the Columbia Basin's sustainability and climate resilience. She is dedicated to collecting and sharing essential climate data that will help ensure the longevity and health of the region’s freshwater systems.
