Arlo brings a deep commitment to environmental science and sustainable resource management to his role with Living Lakes Canada. Raised on the wild West Coast of British Columbia, his early connection to nature inspired a lifelong passion for outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship.

With a background and Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources Management and a Master’s degree assessing the impacts of timber harvest on coastal headwater riparian ecosystems, Arlo’s diverse career has included forestry fieldwork, ecological research, conservation, and policy analysis and advocacy. As a program manager in both government and non-profit organizations, he has developed expertise in project leadership, communications, collaborative partnerships, and community engagement.

At Living Lakes Canada, Arlo leads the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework, bringing together scientific insight, practical experience, and dedication to equity and sustainability to advance climate resilience and freshwater stewardship across the region.
