INVITE ONLY

Living Lakes Canada staff and partners will join Jared Hobbs, owner and founder of Hobbs Ecological Consulting Ltd., for a 2-day course in Targeted eDNA methods in Chilliwack, B.C. This course will provide training for survey design, sample collection, project implementation, and reporting. The Targeted eDNA methods are cost-efficient and non-invasive methods that use the detection of genetic materials in aquatic ecosystems through laboratory analysis of water samples to detect DNA from the taxa of interest. These methods use quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) for detecting DNA in water samples that were collected from the environment.

For more information please contact Living Lakes Canada’s eDNA Program Coordinator Rhia MacKenzie (rhia@livinglakescanada.ca).
