abstractThe Lake Windermere Project was a proactive response to public concern and demand for ongoing, comprehensive water stewardship initiative to engage both government and the public in the protection and enhancement of the lake and its surrounding watershed. This document is a comprehensive report on the five-year Lake Windermere Project. But is is also a water stewardship manual for use by the Lake Windermere Ambassadors, by lake stewardship groups across the country (through Living Lakes Network Canada), and by groups around the world, through Living Lakes International. As a manual, it will inspire these groups to take on more effective and cooperative water stewardship efforts on behalf of their lakes.
