Many CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) in Myanmar are currently under scrutiny, being persecuted and/or under restrictions to operate. How can CSOs in Myanmar engage in lake governance in the context of a shrunken or shrinking democratic space? What guidance can they be offered?  What should they be advocating for in their engagements with state authorities? What should they be advocating to development partners who might wish to support them?
Foreshore Integrated Management Planning (FIMP) Program Manager, Georgia Peck, will deliver a 25-minute presentation on Living Lakes Canada, our diverse programming, and the power of NGOs in the world of water stewardship.
