This is an aerial photo of the Long Sault Parkway, an island chain linked by a road in the Lake St. Lawrence, which formed after the construction of the Moses Saunders Dam in 1958. The building of the dam flooded a large area and relocated 6500 people. These islands are what’s left of a series of hill tops, and are now a popular campground run by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission.
