Plans to expand new Restoration program

In 2020, Living Lakes Canada branched out from our historical monitoring and assessment programming to participate in several restoration projects. We are excited to further develop this new Restoration Program and are currently completing planning, preparation, and relationship building for the upcoming 2021 field season.

The program intends to continue working on similar projects that occurred in 2020 including:

• Wetland Water Level Monitoring (Columbia Wetlands)
• Fish Passage Assessments and Habitat Confirmations (Bulkley River Watershed)
• Pre-restoration Biomonitoring (Columbia Headwaters)

Additionally, there are plans to expand the program into other geographic areas to increase the scope and impact of our work.
