Tomba Paagman grew up on a small farm in Invermere where she was able to appreciate the environment of beautiful British Columbia right from her front door. As she began to understand the luxury of the terrain she grew up on and all its services, Tomba began to observe ecosystems with a more critical eye and became interested in protecting land, water and other natural resources and making these resources accessible by more people.
She is currently in her third and final year of the Bachelor program of International Land and Water Management at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. As part of her final year, Tomba is completing her internship back in Canada with Living Lakes Canada. She is excited to help with stream and river hydrometric monitoring since it was concern for Canada's fresh water supply that inspired her to pursue her chosen career.
