Heather grew up in Canmore, Alberta spending lots of time in the mountains enjoying various activities such as climbing, skiing, hiking and camping. Having been immersed in the outdoors from such a young age, Heather developed a great appreciation and respect for the natural environment.
With a desire to pursue a career in the environmental field, Heather moved to Nelson in 2015 and graduated from the Recreation, Fish and Wildlife program at Selkirk College. After graduating from the program, she worked with BC Parks as a Ranger to help protect and preserve provincial parks in the East Kootenay Region.
