Born in Scotland, Benedict immigrated to Canada in the early 2000s and had the privilege of bouncing from province to province experiencing life in Newfoundland, Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. Through these moves, he developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and wonder of Canada’s varied ecosystems, and the beautiful blend of cultural diversity that makes up the collective people of Canada. This passion led him to pursue opportunities that align with his belief in respecting, protecting, and sustaining the all encompassing wonder that is Canada’s natural environment. 

Benedict holds an M.A. in Applied Politics from Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Concordia University. Through his work, he has gained valuable skills in non-profit communications, academia, and policy research and analysis. He is incredibly excited to bring his experience to Living Lakes Canada as its Government Relations & Communications Specialist.
