Kaslo Senior and Youth Training Event

Living Lakes Canada will be hosting training events on April 13th, 2023 that will introduce Kaslo seniors and youth to the National Lake Blitz program. We will be providing these community members with comprehensive and effective training on how to use Lake Blitz water monitoring kits and gather data on their lake of choice.

These two separate events will take place in Kaslo on Kootenay Lake. The event for seniors will begin in the early afternoon and will focus on Lake Blitz training and signing up volunteers to monitor Kootenay Lake, or other nearby lakes, for the upcoming monitoring season. The afternoon portion will be a youth-focused event that will delve into the broader world of watershed monitoring, with a special focus on how to complete the Lake Blitz monitoring protocol.

Attendees from both events will walk away with a better understanding of water monitoring and how they can take part in this year’s Lake Blitz program!
