Paul is a Nelson based water scientist, owner of Saso Consulting and the lead hydrologist for Living Lakes Canada's Kootenay Watershed Science Program. He specializes in hydrology and water quality monitoring. His experience ranges from running detailed statistical and GIS analyses to guide planning of Canada’s federal water monitoring networks, to chasing benthic invertebrates around streams with nets, to studying under ice river flow in Canada’s far north. Paul currently monitors multiple streamflow measurement sites around the Kootenays, completes watershed assessments, and works on water quality projects in both the public and private sector. He is passionate about the outdoors and is generally happiest on a stream deep in the woods.
