Registration is now closed for the 4th Annual National Lake Blitz!
The National Lake Blitz engages community volunteers all across Canada to monitor a lake they love. Through this entry level monitoring using free tools provided to them, participants gain an understanding how climate and other impacts are affecting lake health and biodiversity.
At their chosen lake from May to September, Lake Blitz volunteers collect temperature readings, shoreline photos of their location and the colour of the water, and more. All the data that’s collected is added to the interactive Lake Observation Map that can be viewed in real-time.
