In this 1-hour session, we will be joined by Christine Callihoo, Executive Director of the Stewardship Centre for British Columbia (SCBC).
You’ll learn how natural shorelines provide wildlife habitat and support ecosystems and biodiversity, while mitigating risks associated with climate change, such as flooding and erosion.
Christine will also share information about SCBC’s Green Shores program, a tool for landowners, land managers, local governments and developers to help plan, design and implement environmentally friendly and cost-efficient freshwater and marine shoreline.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions about this topic and the Lake Blitz monitoring protocol in general.
