Webinar Series: Indigenous-led Water Relationships within the Columbia Basin

 In News

THIS WEBINAR SERIES HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

Summer 2021 has been unprecedented for most Indigenous Peoples within B.C., not only with COVID vaccinations and roll out, but also Residential school announcements, and forest fires on top of usual cultural practices and responsibilities. We are potentially looking at a mid-October start date. Once new dates are finalized, details will be made directly available to those who have already registered and on the Living Lakes Canada website.

We appreciate your patience and especially your understanding that at the moment it is difficult to plan exact dates for the dialogues we are looking forward to supporting.

This webinar series has been organized to create space, time and place for a Knowledge Holder and a technician from each of the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc and Okanagan Indigenous Peoples to present on their values, how they relate to water and the future of water in the Columbia Basin. The fourth and final webinar will provide a platform for a spiritual and/or cultural interpreter from each of the three Peoples to speak together.

There will be an interactive element to these webinars. All four webinars will take place on Zoom on consecutive Tuesdays. Please register using the links below.
