Jordan is a fourth-year Civil Engineering student at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan Campus, focusing on water resources, environmental stewardship, and surveying. Through her coursework, she has gained experience with hydrometric data, open channel flow, and data analysis.
Originally from Calgary, Alberta, she has spent many summers in the Kootenays, building a strong connection to the Columbia Valley. Growing up, she developed a love for the outdoors through fishing, hiking, and exploring new places - experiences that continue to shape her interest in protecting natural environments.
This summer, Jordan is joining Living Lakes Canada as a Freshwater Stewardship & Outreach Intern, where she is excited to support initiatives including the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework, Water Connections, and Water Resource Mapping to Support Wildfire Response. She’s looking forward to gaining hands-on fieldwork experience, learning from the team, and contributing to work that helps protect and support lakes and watersheds across the region.
