Amelia grew up in B.C. and spent most of her time in the mountains. She is an Alpine ski racer on the Canadian National ski team and thus spends all winter in the mountains and chases snow in the summer either on glaciers or in the Southern Hemisphere. This has brought a deep love for mountain environments.

Amelia completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Denver with a BA in Environmental Science and a BA in Computer Science and hopes to pursue further studies in Hydrology.
