Tracey grew up spending much of her time outdoors, helping to maintain her family’s hobby farms in Alberta and then in B.C.'s Fraser Valley. At a young age she began volunteering at the UBC Farm in the Intergenerational Landed Learning Project. There she first caught a glimpse of the incredibly rewarding results that can come from a shared investment in working towards sustainable relationships with our environments.

Tracey's passion for understanding ecological relationships as well as land and water systems led her from her position as a Youth Climate Corps member with Wildsight, an environmental non-profit organization, to the role of Communications Assistant with Living Lakes Canada. She is currently also completing her B.Sc. in Biology on Vancouver Island.

Tracey is excited to share her perspective on water stewardship issues in hopes of encouraging a greater sense of community and engagement around our local freshwater.
