Claire moved to Nelson in 2017 from Australia. Back home, she studied Wildlife and Conservation Biology and spent most of her time camping, running and enjoying the outdoors while working in the Sustainability Department in local government. Upon coming to Nelson, she began working with water whilst volunteering with a local non-profit, where she discovered her passion for the conservation of this precious resource. Claire now works on sourcing funding opportunities for various programs and assists with fieldwork for the High Elevation Monitoring Program, Kootenay Watershed Science and Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework.
