Michael is originally from Southern Ontario and has been tinkering with computers since he can remember. Growing up, he enjoyed working on older DOS computers and installing early Linux versions on Windows PCs. Michael went on to study Electrical and Computer Engineering before deciding to try a more hands-on route. He graduated from Georgian College in 2017 as a Mechanical Technician. After making the move with his dog to Vancouver Island, B.C. to be closer to family, Michael graduated from Web Development at Selkirk College in 2023.

One of Michael's favourite pastimes is finding easier and more efficient ways of doing things, especially when it comes to Data. As a member of Living Lakes Canada's team working with Data on the Columbia Basin Water Hub, he brings this passion to the application of data for environmental well-being.
