Hunter was born and raised in Nova Scotia, and spent his childhood paddling, swimming and imagining adventures in the forest. Hunter graduated from Dalhousie University, where he completed a BSc in Earth Sciences in order to pursue a career outdoors, in Canada’s wild places. More recently, Hunter completed the Master of Water Security program at the University of Saskatchewan where he studied the impact of climate change on Prairie wetlands and developed an interest in community focused resource management.

Hunter has a background in environmental monitoring and conservation from time spent working in New Zealand and north western British Columbia, and is excited to help expand Living Lakes Canada’s water monitoring network as the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework Program Assistant.
