Claire lives on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of Squamish Nation in Gibsons, B.C. She is interested in the relationships between humans and nature, and in community adaptation and resiliency in the face of climate change. Claire graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.Sc. in Biology and Oceanography and completed her Masters of Marine Management at the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a focus on community-engaged practice and Indigenous Food Sovereignty. Claire brings this community-centred perspective to her work with Living Lakes Canada's Applied Reconciliation Program and the Government Relations team.
