Anne-Marie was born in Quebec and raised in Ontario. Although she always spent a lot of time outdoors growing up, moving to the West Kootenays in 2015 deepened her interest and appreciation for the natural world and decided to pursue a career in environmental conservation.
In 2022, she completed the Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Diploma at Selkirk College and has spent the last three years in southern Alberta working and specializing in vegetation surveys and wetland classification. During this time, she gained a deep understanding of landscape processes including fluvial geomorphology and watershed function. This has led her to the position of Alberta Groundwater Program Coordinator with Living Lakes Canada, based out of Lethbridge, AB.
Aside from being committed to help protect freshwater resources, Anne-Marie has a special interest in alpine environments and can often be found exploring amongst the Canadian Rockies.
