Douglas (Doug) recently retired from a 37-year career in groundwater resource exploration, management, and protection. He holds additional expertise in hydrology of lakes and streams, and water quality. From 2011 to 2022, he formed and managed Western Water Associates Ltd., a consulting firm offering geoscience, biology and hydrogeology services throughout B.C. with offices in Vernon, Victoria and Prince George. Doug holds a master's degree in Hydrogeology and has advised on numerous regional scale water-focused monitoring and assessment programs in B.C. and Alberta. He currently resides in the north Slocan Valley, in the village of New Denver, B.C.
