Lake Blitz Monitoring Training Day

If you’ve signed up to be a volunteer water monitor in the 2022 National Lake Blitz then you are invited to join this informative 1-hour training session. Volunteers will get a comprehensive walk through of the Lake Blitz sampling process from start to finish.

The National Lake Blitz Program Coordinator, Camille LeBlanc, will go through the Lake Blitz Field Guide and share tips and tricks on how to effectively gather temperature and photo data on lakes.

Participants will also get a chance to learn about how climate change impacts freshwater lakes and why monitoring and environmental outreach are so important for addressing the climate crisis.
