ʔaq’am Youth Water Gathering

The ʔaq’am Youth Water Gathering will bring together Indigenous youth from the Ktunaxa Territory for 2 days of paddling and camping along the shores of the St. Mary’s River. The gathering will provide youth, ages 15-20 with the skills to better understand, protect and steward the rivers near the community of ʔaq’am in the time of a changing climate.

Through art, traditional language, storytelling, and hands-on knowledge sharing, elders, youth and mentors will come together to celebrate, and honour the gift of water in Ktunaxa ?amak?is.
